We are extremely proud of our superb faculty and team. Our teachers are all professionally trained and have extensive professional credits. All of our staff are DBS Checked (Enhanced) and all complete Safeguarding Training to ensure that all of our students get the best experience possible. A lot of our staff are also qualified teachers too with PGCE's and Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) which means we really do understand about providing amazing opportunities for children and young people. 

 

David Stinson FRSA, MIPATH, ATCL  |  Director & Principal

David is the CEO & Founder of International Performing Arts & Theatre (I-PATH), a world leading examination board which offers exams regulated by Ofqual (The Office of Qualifications and Examinations Regulation) via our accreditors RSL Awards, with thousands of members worldwide throughout Europe, North America, Africa, Asia and Australasia.

He is a professional singer and dancer and has travelled the world taking leading roles in many musical productions including in the West End’s Dominion Theatre and Victoria Apollo. He’s also supported artists such as X Factor winner Sam Bailey and singers from The Voice at various events.

David is also the Founder and Principal of one of London’s award winning schools – David Stinson Theatre School, based in Blackheath, Greenwich. He’s the CEO of David Stinson Holiday Clubs which provides full time childcare during all school holidays, and a Director at Global Education Training Qualifications. David also works extensively within the state education sector and has experience as a Primary School teacher; a School Business Manager; and has been involved in the turnaround of several schools that were rated as Inadequate by Ofsted. David’s passion extends further through the work he has done as a school governor at numerous schools throughout the country.

Today, David is known for judging dance competitions across Europe as well as Guest Teaching at several colleges and universities in the UK, Europe and Asia. He is also Founder and Director of International Performing Arts & Theatre which is an international examining board that has offices in the UK, Australia, Malaysia and Vietnam. David is also one of the founding members of Global Education Training & Qualifications Ltd - an organisation that specialises in education and qualifications which he leads alongside world renowned academics from University of Oxford, Cambridge University and Harvard University to name but a few. 

In his spare time, David supports numerous charities and can be seen judging dance competitions across Europe and Asia. He is a guest lecturer at various colleges and universities. He is a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts and a member of the UN’s body for dance – International Dance Council where he is invited to attend meetings at UNESCO.

David’s main ambition is to make arts education accessible to everyone.

Amy Goater | Vice Principal of Blackheath

Miss Amy trained at the world prestigious drama school, Rose Bruford's. She was the former Teacher of Acting at the David Stinson Theatre School, until being promoted to Vice Principal of the Blackheath Branch in 2021. 

She has been with the theatre school for over a decade now and is adored by all the students. 
Miss Amy is an examiner for the international exam board I-PATH and has a teaching qualification: Diploma in Performing Arts Pedagogy & Principles.

Miss Amy is also part of the girl band 'The Sundaes' as seen on the BBC's All Together Now. She has performed in musical productions worldwide as well as at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival. 

Chris Huntley | Teacher of Singing

Mr Chris is a graduate of Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance with career expertise spanning the opera, musical theatre, classical and contemporary music genres.

He works in London as a pianist, musical director, vocal coach and arranger is the musical director and vocal coach here at David Stinson Theatre School. 

Mr Chris' regional and international credits include Associate Musical Director on the awarding winning 'Three Sides The Musical' (45th Street Theater) with further international credits including Assistant Conductor and Chorus Master for 'Carmen’, 'Savitri' and 'La Boheme' (Thailand Cultural Centre, Bangkok); Musical Director for 'Madame Butterfly' (Al Bida, Kuwait ); 'La Boheme’ South Asia Tour and 'P&O Cruises' (MVs Artemis and Arcadia); ‘The Family Hoffmann's Christmas Mystery Palace (The MAC, Belfast); Musical Supervisor for 'Til The Boys Come Home' (Sydenham Arts Festival); Musical Director for 'Orton' (ATS Theatre); 'Stepping Out' (National Gallery); 'Cinderella' (Marina Theatre);'When Midnight Strikes' (Marlowe Studio, Canterbury); 'Days Full Of Promise' (St James Theatre); 'The Road To Qatar' (Edinburgh Fringe); 'The Wedding Singer' (Stanwix Theatre) 'Rapunzel And The Rascal Prince' (Theatre Royal, Bury St Edmunds); 'Terry Prachett's Mort' (Rose Theatre, Kingston); 'The Dummy Tree' (Tristan Bates Theatre); 'The Witches Of Eastwick' (Kenneth More Theatre); 'Kiss Me Kate' (Bob Hope Theatre); Associate Musical Director 'The West End Gospel Choir’ and Assistant Musical Director 'The Route To Happiness' (Landor Theatre).

He has taught at many prestigious arts London institutions including, The Urdang Academy, Rose Bruford College, Arts Ed and London School of Musical Theatre.

He is also currently a musical theatre practitioner at The Guildhall School Of Music and Drama, Be.Training Programme; Northfleet School For Girls, Laura Bruce Dance Academy and is musical director to The Place choir and the Claremont Project Gospel Choir with the choirs giving recent performances at the Voices of London Festival, Tate Modern and Old Vic Theatre respectively. 

Mr Chris is passionate about making music fun for all and improving wellbeing through singing.
 

Melissa Cavanagh | Teacher of Acting

Miss Melissa has a BA Honours Degree in Contemporary Acting from the Performance Academy. She has also studied acting at The London Meisner Company.

Miss Melissa is best known for gaining a place on Boy George's team on the hit TV Show 'The Voice'. Other credits include 'Forgotten Broadway', 'The Sundaes', 'Mother Goose', 'Jack & The Beanstalk', 'The Little Mermaid', and 'Aladdin'. She also played the role of Nancy Giles in 'The Game Changer'. Miss Melissa was also a guest singer at Scott Alan: Live At Zedel. 

Today, Melissa performs at many concerts and musical shows. She also works part-time at the BBC and the Theatre Cafe in the West End.  Miss Melissa literally brightens up everyone's day when she's in theatre school.  
 

Eva Believer | Teacher of Singing & Piano

Miss Eva has a Masters Degree in Acting, Singing & Piano. She trained privately under the supervision of Laura Sarti at the prestigious Guildhall School of Music & Drama. 

Miss Eva sings professionally at many concerts, corporate events, festivals and charity events; as well as having taken leading roles in numerous musical productions. Miss Eva has also been a featured actress in numerous televised series as well as being a very well known clothes model with regular appearances on Good Morning Britain, This Morning, and QVC. 

We are privileged to have Miss Eva lead our Music Department where she coordinates all of our private piano and singing classes. 
 

Sophie Gandhorkia | Teacher of Dance

Miss Sophie trained at Arts Educational Schools in West London and also the prestigious Dupont Dance School in Leicester. She has ISTD Majors in Ballet, Jazz and Tap as well as majors in RAD (Royal Academy of Dance). She trains at one of the world's leading dance conservatoires - Urdang Academy which is based in Central London. We are extremely lucky to have such an incredibly talented dancer and choreographer as part of our team. 

Sophie has appeared on and off screen. Her theatre credits include Aida alongside West End and TV star Janie Dee. 
 

Miss Jazz | Teacher of Dance

Miss Jazz trained at Studio 69 in Leicester before studying at one of Europes leading conservatoires - Bird College in London. She has majors in Ballet, Jazz and Tap and also performs Musical Theatre. 


At David Stinson Theatre School, Miss Jazz teaches the students syllabus and exam classes as well as Musical Theatre dance. 


She works collaboratively with Miss Sophie in making our dance department exciting, inspiring, and fun! 

 

Harley-Jo Wing | Teacher of Dance

Miss Harley-Jo is dancer for the stars. She can be very often seen on television and at concerts, backing dancing for stars such as Jason Derulo, Ludacris, Diddy, Tiesto... She is one of the most sought after commercial dancers in Europe. She always inspires the children when she's able to guest teach for us in between contracts. 

Miss Harley-Jo trained at the famed Addict Academy in Leicester - known to be one of the leading commercial dance and musical theatre colleges in the UK. 

In between contracts, Miss Harley-Jo often comes and leads various dance classes.
